Whenever you're about to do an extreme/embarrassing/weird situation, do you try to play it over and over again in your head while considering the various possibilities of the situation? Maybe its just me but it has become a hobby of mine. Haha. Somehow such meditation makes it easier for me to get to that point of execution.

I've been lacking motivation lately. It's hard to focus on one thing when you have to get other stuff done. Its frustrating sometimes. I don't blame Ateneo and how their education is structured. But I just wish I could focus on one thing for once. Haha. It's like I need more time for myself. Or am I too selfish? Then again, I always think of the times that I could be doing one thing but can't since I'm burdened with another. And that life is too short for time to be wasted.
I have to LIVE....

OJT took up most of my summer. But it was well worth it. Challenging but fun. I learned a lot from the guys at Dagitab. They really know their IT stuff. Thanks Dagitab and fellow OJTs for a wonderful time!:D

My partner and I just finished our first e-commerce site. Technically we were supposed to merely edit this site for some change in design and business rules as requested by the client. But due to the messy (read nearly impossible to decypher) style of the previous developer, we ended up reverse-engineering the site and rewriting it as a whole. We should've charged more for the work...-_-. It was a pain...literally. Even the fat check didn't make up for those sleepless nights...haha. According to the SDLC, we're now in the maintenance phase.:D Nevertheless, we're still proud of our work...check it out! kulayful.com/beta (BETA because kulayful.com is the one done by the previous developer. We plan to replace it on Tuesday after we get the go signal)

One of our officemates was sent to another company for a week to work on some project there. Apparently according to him, the company had restrictions to the network so you couldn't surf the usual leisure sites you go to. Status message niya sa ym: "Immersion"

My OJT partner was out on a client meeting for the document we created so I got to use her monitor in the afternoon. I set it up with my laptop to make one wide screen. HAHA. It's very useful for coding (since it's what I'll be doing from this point on...XD). Run the application on one screen and view/compile the code on the other. Nakakaaliw...XD Check it out:

I just came back from my first day of OJT. PAGOD NA AKO..............The first task that was handed out to us was merely documentation. Ok fine. We knew the requirements, the diagram tools and analysis stuff since it was more or less the same type of system documentation we did in school. But what took over a semester to accomplish had to be done in a week's time. TODO MEHN...

This year was tough. I feel at peace now...ahhh...yesss....quietnezzzzz...hmmm. I think I'll go sleep again. haha. Bumabawi ata.XD
In about a week or so, I'm going to start OJT work in this IT company. A lot of new challenges await before I finally start my final year in college. Parang kailan lang when I was ranting about how excited I was to be in college. And now, I can almost feel it fading.
Anyway...I still have a lot of things I plan to do for the summer along with OJT. One of them is literally mending a broken heart. </3> <3 lol. And I think I've found the passion again for doing stuff. I just need the discipline. Summer will be quite the challenge.
SSsoooo much I want to do...I wish I could do it all.@_@

This sem is taking a nose dive and I can't tap the energy to save it...XD Maybe I need a little push. Anyway, despite the many problems and regrets that plague this sem, I managed to write an entry here. LOL. Job fair na and it's caused a bit of fuss in the MIS world in Ateneo.XD Required kasi magojt... HEre's a list of the companies I've applied to so far:

It's quite an experience to ask companies about the job types they offer and if my skillset would be right for it. Creating a 1 page resume was also quite the adventure.:D Have to take tests some time next week. Hope I get in and jumpstart my career as an IT expert and developer. lol.-_-
I hate it when music becomes work. :( It's supposed to be fun...not restrictive...not problematic...but communal fun with fellow musicians. People look to music to get away from stressful responsibilities...not add to those problems. *sigh*
I'm sorry 2nd sem...you're not as great as I hoped you'd be. Sana matapos ka na.:(
